For assistance with today’s NYT Connections puzzle, additional clues and solutions for the Yellow, Blue, Green, and Purple groups are provided below.

Today’s puzzle is particularly challenging, representing one of the most difficult editions in recent memory. Solving the third group required a single remaining guess.

Project Hail Mary is now available for streaming, and several new series have recently premiered on Netflix, Apple TV, and other services.

How To Play Connections

The goal is to identify links among a set of sixteen words, forming four distinct groups of four. Connections may relate to categories, word extensions, or thematic associations. Difficulty is indicated by color coding, ranging from Yellow through Blue/Green to Purple.

Players select four words they believe are linked; successful selections illuminate the corresponding row. The game allows a limited number of attempts, and additional attempts can be made by clearing cookies or consulting external resources.

The completed grid is shown below:

Today’s NYT Connections received a difficulty rating of 5/5 on the Connections Bot scale and proved to be quite challenging. The Blue group was identified early, while the Yellow group required additional contemplation. Initial uncertainty about the fourth Yellow word (possibly confusing PIP with dice or dominos) was resolved upon closer examination.

After narrowing the remaining words to eight, the connections became apparent. Recognizing the relationship between PHO, NERD, and RUNT, followed by the selection of SPREE, led to a straightforward solution.
