Oasis’ Noel Gallagher Promises ‘Live ’27 Tour Will Surpass 2025 Comeback Shows

Noel Gallagher has promised that Oasis’s upcoming “Live ’27” tour will be “so much better” than their highly anticipated comeback shows scheduled for 2025.

The Britpop legends confirmed their extensive tour earlier this week, with 38 shows set to kick off next May. The run opens with five nights at Glasgow’s Celtic Park, followed by an impressive 11 performances at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, with additional dates across Europe. In August, the band will perform three shows each in Boston and Las Vegas, concluding the tour with two stops at Slane Castle in Ireland and four nights at Knebworth.

The announcement follows the release of their new documentary “Don’t Look Back In Anger” in cinemas, accompanied by a teaser campaign that featured a spectacular drone show over the Etihad Stadium.

Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern, directors of the documentary, recently shared with NME that there was considerable apprehension leading up to the initial 2025 tour dates, particularly at the first show in Cardiff.

Lovelace noted: “Obviously at Cardiff there was a huge nervousness from everyone. ‘How is this going to work? Is it going to work?’ Then across the tour you see them on stage as they play those songs and the crowd get to experience those songs in different places. Their relationship just gets closer and closer.”

Southern added: “He [Noel] actually says in the film that he wishes he was able to call a time-out and go back to the dressing room because he completely underestimated what this would be. I think we did as well. Standing in the crowd and filming, I felt something beyond anything I’ve ever felt at a live show. It felt like the crowd needed it as much as they wanted it.”

Noel has since expressed greater confidence heading into the upcoming performances.

“This tour is gonna be so much better because all of us will be way more relaxed than we were last time,” he told TalkSPORT. “We were all anxious last time as to how rehearsals were gonna go and how the tour was gonna be received and all the mithering about the tickets and that kind of thing.

“But this is gonna be a lot more fun this time and we’re gonna put on a great show and it’s gonna be unbelievable.”

During the same interview, Noel revealed that the decision for another tour was made early into their Live ’25 dates after witnessing the overwhelming fan response.

Reflecting on Cardiff previously, he said: “For me personally, I grossly underestimated what I was getting into. After about five minutes, I was like, alright, can I just go back to the dressing room and start this again?

I’ve done stadiums before and all that, but I don’t mind telling you, my legs turned to jelly after about half-way through the second song. It’s been an amazing thing, it really is an amazing thing.”

Fans have taken to social media to express their excitement over the new dates, though some are already dreading the ticket purchasing process following the chaotic online queue experienced during the previous sale, along with controversy surrounding dynamic pricing.

Oasis has confirmed that, learning from the difficulties faced during the initial Live ’25 ticket sale, they will implement the same registration system used for their later Wembley performances, requiring fans to register for the opportunity to purchase tickets.

Fans must complete registration before Thursday at 4pm BST and will receive a unique code granting access to an allocated on-sale window if selected. The sales will occur across Friday 25, Saturday 26, and Sunday 27 September in the UK, with standard ticket prices ranging from £71.50 to £266.60, including fees.

Regarding new music, Noel has confirmed there won’t be any fresh material released alongside the tour. Fans continue to speculate about setlists and whether the band will make an appearance at Glastonbury 2027.
