A celebration of life memorial service has been set for Oliver Tree, who passed away in a helicopter crash in Brazil on June 14 at age 32. The event will be livestreamed on July 25 due to limited space for attendees, allowing global fans to participate remotely.
The eccentric artist’s family announced details of the ceremony at UCSC Quarry Amphitheatre, an outdoor venue on the University of California Santa Cruz campus. Specific livestream instructions will be shared closer to the date.
Tree’s organization, Dr. Oliver Tree’s Extremely Epic Art Grant for Baby Geniuses, will distribute funds as he specified prior to his death. Grants prioritize physical art creation—prohibiting direct payments for education, equipment, or personal expenses—and will remain active for 50 to 100 years. Donations and asset sales will support this initiative.
Tree’s final album, *Love You Madly Hate You Badly*, was released earlier this year.
