After days of exchanging sharp remarks with President Donald Trump, Ontario Premier Doug Ford emphasized the importance of a trade agreement between the United States and Canada for both economies.

In an interview broadcast Sunday on ABC News’s “This Week,” Ford urged both sides to resolve their trade differences. While he continued to criticize Trump’s recent tariffs on Canadian products, he highlighted the goodwill of the American people and warned that the dispute was hurting citizens on both sides of the border.
