Following a dramatic betrayal at WWE SummerSlam, Paige is set to return to WWE SmackDown next week, where she’ll settle unfinished business with Nikki Bella.
At SummerSlam, Paige teamed with The Bella Twins against Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence in a six-woman tag-team match. Despite her efforts, Paige took the pinfall loss for her team, leading to an immediate post-match assault by Nikki and Brie Bella, who turned on their ally.
Nikki Bella addressed the betrayal during the August 7 episode of WWE SmackDown, claiming that Paige cost The Bella Twins the WWE Women’s Tag-Team Championships and citing their SummerSlam defeat as the final straw. Nikki vowed to make Paige’s life difficult moving forward.
In response, Paige took to social media to fire back while confirming her appearance on next week’s show.
“I saved your ass from getting pinned twice at SummerSlam,” Paige wrote on X. “I’m also the one who WON those championships.”
She continued, “I’ll be back next week. You haven’t seen anything yet babe.”
Her upcoming appearance will mark her first time back on WWE television since being attacked by The Bella Twins at SummerSlam.
Additionally advertised for next week’s SmackDown are three championship matches: Chelsea Green versus Jacy Jayne for the Women’s U.S. Championship, Baron Corbin versus Carmelo Hayes for the Men’s U.S. Championship, and a triple threat match for the WWE World Tag Team Championships featuring Damian Priest and R-Truth against The War Raiders and The MFTs.
