Pakistan and Somalia Envoys Meet in Djibouti to Bolster Regional Security Collaboration in Horn of Africa

Djibouti — Pakistan’s ambassador to Djibouti, Aqsa Nawaz, held talks with Somalia’s ambassador to Djibouti, Ahmed Abdullahi, alongside Ahmed Khayre, the consul overseeing political affairs and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), to explore avenues for deepening bilateral cooperation and enhancing regional security.

The discussions centered on building upon the historically strong ties between Somalia and Pakistan, with a particular focus on advancing peace and stability across the Horn of Africa.

The diplomats exchanged perspectives on ongoing political and security developments in the region, emphasizing the critical need for closer coordination between Somalia and Pakistan on matters impacting regional stability.
