ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced on Friday that prospective Hajj pilgrims must remit the second installment for Hajj 2027 no later than October 20, warning that delayed payments could result in the cancellation of their applications.
The installment option was introduced in November 2024 alongside the Hajj 2025 policy, aiming to assist those who cannot afford a lump‑sum payment for the annual pilgrimage.
For the current year, the government has earmarked 107,526 quotas, of which 30,000 are for a shorter itinerary, while the private sector has received 71,696 slots for Hajj 2026. Under the government program, a 40‑day package costs Rs1.2 million (approximately $4,334) and a condensed 20‑ to 25‑day package is priced at Rs1.3 million (about $4,695).
The ministry’s statement noted that only four days remain to settle the second installment, emphasizing that government‑scheme pilgrims must finalize the payment before October 20.
Pilgrims are advised to use the NITB Hajj portal or the Pak Hajj mobile app to submit payments, which can be made via bank card, One Link, or a manual bank challan.
The statement reiterated that timely payment is essential to prevent the cancellation of Hajj applications.
Applicants must download the medical fitness certificate from the Hajj portal, obtain verification from a licensed physician, and then upload the validated document back to the portal.
Annually, thousands of Pakistani pilgrims journey to Saudi Arabia’s holy sites to perform Hajj, a process that requires extensive coordination between government agencies and private tour operators for flight bookings, meals, and lodging.
