The Foreign Office on Thursday urged the United States and Iran to end hostilities and return to technical-level negotiations, noting that the interim peace agreement brokered by Pakistan is encountering difficulties.During a weekly press briefing, FO spokesperson Tahir Andrabi highlighted that the implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding—signed last month between the U.S. and Iran—is experiencing challenges.
He affirmed that Pakistan will continue to encourage all parties to cease violence and resume technical discussions in line with the MoU and the joint statement released by Pakistan and Qatar mediators on June 22.
