Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on Thursday that responsible states, when addressing the Indus Waters Treaty, operate within established legal frameworks rather than discarding them.
He noted that the treaty provides for the peaceful settlement of disputes through its own mechanisms, as he delivered a recorded keynote speech at a water resources seminar, adding that Pakistan has previously expressed concerns regarding certain Indian actions under the treaty.
