Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa met with EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process Christophe Bigot in Ramallah on Sunday. The discussions covered the ongoing conflict in Gaza, intensified occupation measures and settler attacks in the West Bank, and Israel’s continued withholding of Palestinian tax revenues for the eighteenth consecutive month. Mustafa emphasized the need for cooperation with international partners, especially the EU, to stabilise Palestinian territories and create political and economic opportunities, and highlighted the government’s reform programme, targeted for completion by year‑end, while calling for sustained international financial support to address fiscal and economic challenges. He also stressed the importance of preserving essential health and education services in Gaza and supporting early‑recovery interventions. The meeting was attended by Finance and Planning Minister Stephan Salameh, Foreign Affairs Assistant Minister Omar Awadallah, and EU Representative to Palestine Andreas Fiedler. On the same day, Vice President Hussein Al‑Sheikh met with a senior European delegation, briefing them on the escalation of Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians, their property and foreign solidarity activists, and urging accountability for these incidents.
