The New England Patriots are expected to welcome back one of their top wide receivers to practice on Wednesday.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Mack Hollins is slated to return to the field. Hollins has been sidelined for the past four games while on injured reserve due to a calf injury. A return to practice on Wednesday would initiate a 21-day window during which he can practice before the team must either activate him or shut him down for the remainder of the season.
Hollins is eligible for activation at any point during that window, meaning he could potentially suit up as early as this Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
Prior to his injury, Hollins recorded 15 receptions for 209 yards across New England’s first four games of the season.
Additionally, the Patriots have Romeo Doubs on injured reserve, while A.J. Brown missed Week 8 due to a knee injury.
