Peggy Gou has partnered with Nigerian afrobeats star Ayra Starr for a fresh, summer‑ready single titled “Wo,man.” The track dropped today (June 26) on XL Recordings, following Gou’s 2024 debut album .
“Wo,man” delivers a euphoric dance‑floor anthem, merging Gou’s kinetic production with Starr’s dynamic vocals and a catchy hook that repeats “Adigidang dang dang in dang.”

Gou explained the collaboration: “When I started working on ‘Wo,man,’ I wanted a voice that could match its uplifting summer energy. Ayra instantly got the vibe, and her blend of sexiness and swagger felt natural. I hope this record creates fun summer memories for everyone.”
Starr added: “I love Peggy—she’s such a cool artist. Making this song was a blast; it feels like pure summer. I hope listeners enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it!”
The duo previously worked together when Gou remixed Starr’s single “Where Do We Go” earlier this year.
To celebrate the release, Gou is opening a one‑day pop‑up boutique, “The Gou,tique,” at Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes on Kingsland Road, east London, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Attendees can receive 200 mystery items from Gou’s personal collection and 100 items from her archival merchandise, while DJs from Gudu Records provide the soundtrack.
Gou’s summer schedule includes a headline show at London’s Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich on August 2.
Earlier this year, Gou also remixed Madonna’s “I Feel So Free,” adding a ’90s dance‑flavored twist to the first preview from Madonna’s upcoming album Confessions II.
Meanwhile, Ayra Starr will perform at All Points East 2026 alongside Jorja Smith, Tems, Nia Archives, Elmiene, and Kwn.
