Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed the arrest of a 26‑year‑old man in connection with the murder investigation of Ann Widdicombe.
The 78‑year‑old Reform UK spokeswoman and former Conservative minister was discovered deceased in her Dartmoor residence on Thursday morning.
Police stated that the case is not being treated as a terrorist incident following consultation with counter‑terrorism authorities as part of the initial enquiries.
