Several major companies and sectors are making significant moves in premarket trading, driven by fresh earnings reports, geopolitical tensions affecting oil prices, and upcoming product events.
Avocado producer Mission Produce saw its shares pop by 7.5% after the company beat analyst expectations for both earnings per share and revenue in its fiscal third quarter.
Apple shares traded slightly lower as investors awaited an upcoming product event, where the tech giant is expected to unveil new iPhones, potentially including a foldable model.
Convenience store chain Casey’s General Store shares dropped more than 10% following mixed first-quarter fiscal results. While the company beat earnings and revenue estimates, it reported a 0.3% year-over-year decline in fuel sales, and sales of prepared food and dispensed beverages slightly missed expectations.
Jeweler Signet Jewelers surged 17% after reporting second-quarter earnings of $2.19 per share, significantly beating the FactSet estimate of $1.74 per share. The company also raised its full-year earnings guidance.
Energy stocks pushed higher as Brent crude futures topped $100 a barrel for the first time since July, fueled by escalating tensions between Iran and the U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures rose 2.14% to $95 a barrel, and the XLE ETF, which tracks the S&P 500 energy sector, gained around 1% before the bell. ExxonMobil advanced 1%.
Technology company ServiceTitan shares fell over 17% in premarket trading after its third-quarter revenue guidance fell short of analyst estimates, despite beating second-quarter revenue expectations of $292.8 million versus the $285.9 million estimate. The company did raise its full-year revenue guidance.
Customer engagement platform Braze shares dropped nearly 11% after missing revenue estimates, though the company did beat earnings per share estimates.
Fintech company Chime Financial rose over 10% after reporting better-than-expected second-quarter earnings. For the third quarter, the company expects revenue between $680 million and $690 million, surpassing the analyst estimate of $640.6 million.
