The Prince Estate has announced a new posthumous album titled Timeless, which compiles ten rare, previously unreleased recordings from Prince’s vault, covering the period from 1977 until his death in 2016.
The announcement includes a new single titled “Stone,” a previously unreleased track recorded in spring 1995 and co‑written by Sandra St. Victor, Tom Hammer, and Jules Van Even. The record will be released on streaming services as well as in several physical formats, including a D2C‑exclusive limited‑edition purple marble vinyl, standard black vinyl, and compact disc.
The Prince Celebration launched yesterday, June 3, at Paisley Park and downtown Minneapolis, and will run through Sunday, June 7, the artist’s birthday. The program offers exclusive listening sessions, archival presentations, and discussions with Prince’s collaborators.
