RB Leipzig standout Yan Diomande has reportedly signaled his openness to a summer transfer to PSG, though the promising winger remains heavily attracted by significant interest from Liverpool.
According to reports from Foot Mercato, PSG sporting director Luis Campos is intent on revitalizing the French champions’ squad following a demanding season.
Campos views the 19-year-old Ivorian as the ideal profile to address the club’s tactical deficiencies on the right flank.
Liverpool Enter the Race for Yan Diomande
Although PSG have already engaged in several discussions with RB Leipzig’s management to finalize a deal, they face stiff competition from the Premier League.
The French publication notes that Liverpool have designated Diomande as a priority target as they strategically plan for a future beyond Mohamed Salah.
Diomande’s rapid ascent in Germany has made him one of Europe’s most coveted young talents. After joining Leipzig from Leganés last summer, the teenager exceeded all expectations, recording 13 goals and 9 assists in 36 appearances.
These standout performances earned him the Bundesliga Best Young Player award for the season.
With a contract running until 2030, Leipzig maintains significant leverage in negotiations. While Diomande has reportedly turned down interest from Bayern Munich, the project at Anfield has captured his attention, keeping the contest wide open.
Bradley Barcola Emerges as Alternative for Liverpool
Wary that a bidding war with the financially powerful PSG could inflate Diomande’s market value to an unsustainable level, Liverpool’s recruitment team is exploring other options.
Reports indicate that the Reds are monitoring PSG’s own Bradley Barcola.
The dynamic French international primarily operates on the left wing, but his versatility, tactical acumen, and exceptional pace make him a compelling candidate for Liverpool’s attacking overhaul.
Should PSG successfully secure Diomande, it could potentially lower Barcola’s standing in Luis Enrique’s plans, creating a strategic window for Liverpool to pursue the Frenchman.
