ISLAMABAD, July 2 (APP) – The Pakistan Stock Exchange’s benchmark KSE‑100 index kept its upward thrust on Thursday, climbing 470.86 points, a 0.26% rise, to finish at 184,520.96, up from 184,050.10 the previous session.
Trading activity in the ready market amounted to 994.75 million shares worth Rs55.79 billion, versus 941.48 million shares valued at Rs57.09 billion a day earlier. Market capitalisation rose to Rs20.63 trillion from Rs20.54 trillion.
Among the 494 actively traded stocks, 256 posted gains, 217 fell and 21 were unchanged.
TPL Properties led turnover with 84.69 million shares, ahead of the Bank of Punjab at 59.31 million shares and Cnergyico PK at 40.05 million shares.
Leading advancers were PIA Holding Company Limited B, up Rs144.50 to close at Rs18,294.00, and Thal Industries Corporation Limited, which rose Rs96.10 to finish at Rs1,057.07.
On the decliners’ list, Service Industries Limited slipped Rs56.67 to end at Rs2,287.48 and Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited dropped Rs48.50 to close at Rs25,650.50.
In the DFC futures segment, volume reached 197.02 million shares valued at Rs9.64 billion, up from 158.25 million shares worth Rs8.92 billion the prior day.
Of the 303 futures‑listed firms, 185 advanced, 117 retreated and one held steady.
