Pulse Finance Bolsters SME Invoice Finance Offering with Strategic Sales Leadership Hire

UK-based invoice and trade finance provider Pulse Finance has appointed Matt Speed as its new head of sales, marking a strategic move to expand its presence in the SME invoice finance market.

Pulse Finance, which offers funding facilities ranging from £200,000 to £5 million to help businesses unlock working capital, stated that Speed will play a crucial role in supporting more UK companies in managing cash flow amid an increasingly challenging economic landscape.

Speed brings extensive experience to the role, having spent over six years as senior regional director at Ultimate Finance, a Tavistock Group company specializing in invoice, asset, bridging, and trade finance. He previously served as regional director at the same organization from 2009 to 2016.

In addition to his tenure at Ultimate Finance, Speed was the founding director of Woodsford Trade Finance, where he provided purchase and transaction finance to SMEs. His career also includes positions at Bank Leumi, Bank of Scotland, Venture Finance, and HSBC.

Hampshire-based Pulse Finance noted that the appointment aligns with the growing challenges faced by SMEs, including rising operating costs, inflationary pressures, supply chain disruptions, and extended payment terms.
