Questlove, well‑versed in talk‑show formats, is launching his own series titled The Next Move. Inspired by the Roots drummer’s celebrity game nights, the show — as reported by Variety — will feature him and three guests playing Uno, Jenga, and other games while discussing their lives, interests, and work. The premiere will stream on Questlove’s new Do You Want More?! digital channel, which also houses his Questlove Supreme podcast, with later availability on Amazon.

“Out of all my social experiments, game nights have been some of my favorite career highlights,” Questlove remarked. “With The Next Move I’m gathering friends to play, converse, and discover what unfolds. Observing how people behave in games reveals much about them, and now we invite you to join the conversation.”

The series builds on Questlove’s game‑night tradition, which he launched in the 2010s. Celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Jason Sudeikis, Lupita Nyong’o, Megan Thee Stallion, Quinta Brunson, and J.J. Abrams have taken part in earlier gatherings, notes Variety. Questlove will coordinate the guest lineup in partnership with Amazon.

Two One Five Entertainment, the production company Questlove co‑runs with fellow Root Black Thought, will produce The Next Move. The company’s credits also feature Summer of Soul, Sly Lives!, League, and Ladies & Gentle … 50 Years of SNL Music, among others. Additionally, Two One Five is behind the forthcoming documentary Earth, Wind, & Fire, which Questlove directed.
