Quice Food Industries recorded a net loss of Rs1 million for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, reversing a net profit of Rs3.54 million a year earlier, according to Mettis Global. The loss translated to a loss per share of Rs0.010, down from earnings per share of Rs0.036 in the prior‑year period.

Revenue fell 17% to Rs352.27 million, with gross profit slipping 23% to Rs63.52 million and the gross margin narrowing to 18.03% from 19.43%. Despite a 24% cut in distribution costs and a 19% reduction in total operating expenses, operating profit fell 62% to Rs2.97 million. Additional levies of Rs4.27 million surpassed operating profit, driving the net loss.

Quice aims to improve margins and control overheads, expand its export sales, and prioritize higher‑margin, value‑added products. The company cautions that near‑term inflation, volatile international oil prices, and Middle East conflicts pose risks to fuel costs, freight rates, and supply‑chain stability.
