ITM Isotope Technologies Munich SE and Telix Pharmaceuticals, two prominent players in the fast‑growing radiopharmaceutical sector, are joining forces in a transaction valued at no less than $1.65 billion.
Under the agreement, Telix will acquire all outstanding shares of the privately held ITM. Additionally, Telix may owe up to another $700 million to ITM’s shareholders if the company’s lead drug achieves specified regulatory and sales milestones.
The combined entity adds a well‑financed competitor to the radiopharmaceutical landscape, a field currently led by Novartis. These therapies deliver radioactive isotopes directly to malignant cells. Novartis energized the arena with the introduction of its two such agents in 2018 and 2022.
