Los Angeles Rams quarterback Ty Simpson began the day as the lone unsigned first-round selection from the 2026 draft class, but that distinction no longer applies. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Simpson has agreed to terms on his standard four-year rookie contract with the NFC West franchise.
The deal carries a total value of $25.4 million and includes a team option for a fifth season. Selected 13th overall in this year’s draft, Simpson is expected to vie with Stetson Bennett for the primary backup role behind veteran starter Matthew Stafford.
With Simpson now under contract, New England Patriots second-round pick Gabe Jacas stands as the only remaining unsigned player from the entire 2026 draft class. Jacas has been managing injuries and did not report to Patriots training camp this week.
