A major wildfire continues to burn in the Aude department in southern France, where firefighters are still working at daybreak to contain a fast-moving blaze that has spread from neighboring Hérault.
The video shows flames racing across a hillside, thick smoke rising into the sky, and aircraft and ground crews battling the fire. Fire engines and firefighters are seen close to the front line as the operation continues.
The fire broke out in the Hérault department on Wednesday afternoon before spreading rapidly into Aude, fueled by drought conditions and strong winds. By the latest update, more than 800 hectares had burned.
Crews from both departments remain on site as they work to slow the advance of the flames and secure scorched areas.
