The Baltimore Ravens will be forced to rely on their backup quarterback as they prepare to face the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
Ravens coach Jesse Minter confirmed during his Friday press conference that Jackson will not play due to the ankle injury he sustained last week, paving the way for Tyler “Snoop” Huntley to take over at quarterback.
Edge rusher Trey Hendrickson (finger) is also listed as unavailable for Sunday’s contest.
“Both of them, feel really good maybe headed after this week,” Minter said. “But that’s the way we’ll be. A ton of confidence in Snoop to play really well. I think everybody on the team is excited to see that and [for] him to have this opportunity.”
Whether Jackson can return next week against the Browns remains to be determined.
“It’s always going to be in the best interest of the player,” Minter said on Jackson’s timeline to return. “And the timing of it, just knowing probably today that this was going to be the scenario. To Lamar’s credit, he’s working his tail off to get back. So I think, don’t know the specifics of next week. But I know he’ll be doing everything in his power to get back.”
Jackson has completed 70.8 percent of his throws for 967 yards with six touchdowns and one interception so far in 2026. He leads the league in yards per attempt (10.1) and yards per completion (14.2).
Hendrickson has recorded one sack and three QB hits in three games so far this year.
The Ravens full injury report with game statuses will be released later on Friday.
