Baltimore Ravens rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano took the field Tuesday for the open portion of practice wearing a substantial brace on his right ankle. Fagnano sustained the injury late in Sunday’s game against Buffalo after a low hit from Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver.

The timing is problematic for Baltimore, which also lost starter Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley to injuries during the same contest. Jackson is expected to miss an extended period with a thumb injury, while Huntley is dealing with turf toe.

Fagnano was listed as limited on Monday’s estimated injury report and will likely carry the same designation Tuesday, though his participation suggests he will push to start Thursday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Ravens added quarterback depth Tuesday by signing Kedon Slovis off Green Bay’s practice squad to the 53-man roster. Austin Reed, signed Monday, remains available on the practice squad.
