Reimagining Urban Equity in Asian Metropolises

Asia and the Pacific is undergoing rapid urbanization, outpacing all other regions. Projections indicate that by 2050 its cities will host 3.4 billion inhabitants, up from 2.2 billion today — roughly equivalent to adding two metropolitan areas the size of Delhi each year. The trajectory of this expansion will determine whether the region realizes inclusive prosperity and enhanced well‑being or experiences widening disparities.
