Ripple has expanded GSmart, the AI-powered suite integrated into Ripple Treasury, introducing new capabilities for forecasting, liquidity management, risk assessment, reconciliation, and reporting.

The newly added features enable finance teams to leverage artificial intelligence while maintaining adherence to corporate policies, approval workflows, and audit standards.

AI Operates Within Treasury Guidelines

Ripple highlights that GSmart addresses a critical challenge: while organizations are increasingly deploying AI agents, most lack robust governance frameworks to oversee them.

According to Gartner, the average Fortune 500 company could deploy over 150,000 AI agents by 2028, yet merely 13% of organizations currently report having sufficient governance for these agents.

For treasury teams overseeing financial operations, Ripple emphasizes that AI should offer actionable insights without relinquishing human control.

GSmart distinguishes computational processes from AI functions. Fixed, reliable systems handle financial calculations, whereas AI evaluates corporate policies, identifies trends, and articulates its recommendations.

Treasury teams retain ultimate authority and must approve all financial actions.

Renaat Ver Eecke, SVP of Ripple Treasury, noted that CFOs must embrace AI while ensuring financial decisions remain transparent, controlled, and compliant. He stated that GSmart adheres to each organization’s treasury policies, delivers transparent recommendations, and maintains human oversight.

GSmart Expands with AI Agents and Analytics

The enhanced GSmart platform features AI agents dedicated to forecasting, liquidity, risk, reconciliation, and reporting. Each agent monitors specific tasks, proposes actions, references the supporting corporate policy, and awaits human approval before executing any moves.

Ripple is also launching Knowledge Studio, which empowers treasury teams to establish the policies and controls governing AI behavior. Additionally, Analytics Studio assists teams in evaluating treasury data and generating AI-driven reports, while the Ask GSmart assistant allows users to query their treasury data and receive actionable insights.

Enterprise Customers Already Utilizing GSmart

Ripple reported that numerous enterprise clients are actively using GSmart. Approximately 60% of eligible customers utilize Risk Insights to identify unusual risks and policy violations.

Meanwhile, 44% rely on Forecast Insights to compare projected cash flows against actuals, highlighting potential cash shortfalls. Ripple stated that GSmart is central to its strategy of creating a unified treasury platform for both fiat currency and digital assets.

The latest AI features provide finance teams with tools to forecast and manage their finances effectively. Ripple Treasury aims to empower teams to view, predict, transfer, and generate returns on cash and digital assets from a single platform.
