Rob Van Dam Outlines Remaining Wrestling Schedule Through 2026

Rob Van Dam expects to compete in roughly three to four more matches before 2026 concludes.

After spending nearly a year sidelined with bilateral heel fractures sustained at MLW Battle Riot VII, RVD returned to action this past February at an Australian event and later appeared on Juggalo Championship Wrestling’s Strangle-Mania show on April 17.

In a recent podcast appearance, RVD provided an update on his wrestling future.

“Thank goodness that I don’t have anything because I don’t think anything’s coming my way. You know what I mean? I don’t expect it to.”

“I very likely might have three, maybe four matches between now and the end of the year, going at the speed that I’m going now. I’m okay with that. Am I expecting a run to come along, like with one of the companies? No. Is it possible? Yes.”

RVD continued:

“I feel like I don’t expect anything to come my way. So, if I did have something, if I was like obsessed with, ‘I gotta be a tag team champion again,’ whatever my goal would be, if that’s something I got to do, I think I would be disappointed because I don’t think that’s probably going to happen. It could, but I don’t expect it to, and I just live in the now.”

RVD has appeared on six different AEW shows since his debut on the August 9, 2023 episode of Dynamite, where he challenged Jack Perry for the FTW title. He also lost to Swerve Strickland in a hardcore match on the January 31, 2024 edition of Dynamite. His most recent AEW outing came at the April 20, 2024 Rampage taping, where he won a four-way match against Isiah Kassidy, Komander, and Lee Johnson.
