Rogers Communications Inc. has finalized a 12-year sublicensing agreement with Quebecor Inc. for French-language national NHL broadcasts in Canada, commencing with the 2026-2027 season.
Under the terms of the deal, TVA Sports will air up to 350 regular-season NHL games annually, including 32 Montreal Canadiens games and all Canadiens Stanley Cup Playoff matchups.
The coverage extends to six of the eight First Round playoff series, three of the four Second Round series, the Conference Finals, and the Stanley Cup Final. The agreement also encompasses all major NHL tentpole events and grants Quebecor 10 additional regular-season Canadiens games compared to the previous contract.
Distribution will be handled through TVA Sports and TVA Sports Direct, with Quebecor’s illico+ platform also integrated into the broadcast ecosystem.
This new arrangement operates under Rogers’ broader 12-year national NHL media rights deal with the league, which spans the 2026-27 through 2037-38 seasons.
Rogers Communications shares closed 3.68% higher at $38 on the New York Stock Exchange, and rose 0.09% to $38.03 in after-hours trading.
