For the first time in over three months, the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championship will be defended on ROH programming this week.
Sammy Guevara and The Beast Mortos will defend the titles against Los Villanos—El Hijo del Villano III and Villano III Jr.—during ROH’s Global Wars Cincinnati broadcast on Thursday at WatchROH.com.
While most matches for Global Wars Cincinnati were held in Cincinnati, the ROH Tag Team title bout between Guevara & Mortos and Los Villanos was taped at CMLL’s Viernes Espectacular show at Arena México in Mexico City.
The titles have not been defended on ROH television recently because visa complications have kept Mortos from traveling to the United States. Mortos last appeared in the U.S. on an episode of AEW Collision on March 18.
