U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held discussions with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun regarding the recent seizure of hundreds of kilograms of explosives linked to Hezbollah, according to a State Department official speaking on Thursday.
During their conversation, Rubio emphasized the importance of holding accountable all individuals involved in ordering, financing, and directing the explosive shipment. He also stressed that returning such materials to Hezbollah must never be considered an option, the official noted.
This is a developing story.
