Rubio Meets with Lebanese President Aoun to Discuss Trilateral Framework Implementation

Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun today to discuss the implementation of the Trilateral Framework. Rubio praised the Lebanese government’s courage under President Aoun’s leadership in its efforts to restore Lebanon’s sovereignty, disarm Hezbollah, dismantle its terrorist infrastructure, and advance toward peace. He reiterated the United States’ commitment to supporting the successful execution of the Trilateral Framework and to backing Lebanon’s pursuit of peace, economic recovery, and a brighter future for its people.
