RUSH Dismisses AAA Speculation with Direct ‘No Thanks’ Response

RUSH has made his commitment to All Elite Wrestling abundantly clear despite being away from competition for several months. The AEW star firmly rejected a fan’s suggestion that he might consider a move to AAA.

The wrestler, who also competes under the ring name El Toro Blanco, was recently questioned by a supporter about the possibility of joining AAA. The Mexican promotion has become a significant topic of discussion in professional wrestling following WWE’s acquisition of the company. However, RUSH expressed no interest in pursuing that opportunity.

RUSH emphasizes that AEW remains his current focus

On September 4, 2026, a fan suggested that the Mexican promotion could benefit from RUSH’s talents, writing, “Brother, they could use you in the AAA.”

The AEW star delivered a straightforward response:

“No thanks, my present is #aew.”

RUSH’s response left no room for interpretation. The timing of this exchange is particularly noteworthy given that he has not competed for AEW since the July 1 episode of Collision, where the matches were pre-recorded. His extended absence has naturally prompted speculation among fans regarding when he will return to action.

RUSH was also missing from AEW’s prominent All In: London event at Wembley Stadium. Prior to the show, the former AAA performer addressed his absence and stated his intention to continue working while awaiting his next opportunity with AEW.

With All In now concluded and RUSH still absent from the roster, discussions about his wrestling future persist. AAA emerged as an obvious suggestion from fans due to RUSH’s prior history with the promotion and its current relationship with WWE. He previously wrestled for AAA from 2019 until 2023.

Much has changed in the wrestling landscape since then. WWE completed its acquisition of AAA in April 2025. The two promotions have since collaborated as WWE continues expanding its international footprint.

That partnership has elevated AAA’s status as a potential destination for wrestlers with WWE connections. For RUSH, however, his recent social media statement indicates that AAA does not factor into his immediate plans.
