Tyler Shough is preparing for his first full season as the Saints’ starting quarterback, with guidance from the franchise’s most accomplished quarterback, Drew Brees.
Shough outlined his plans for the weeks leading up to training camp, detailing that he has been working with Brees to organize a quarterback and wide receiver throwing retreat in San Diego.
“Drew is helping us set up our QB/wide receiver throwing retreat,” Shough said. “We’re bringing all the players down there to work and bond together. For me, it’s about continuing to study the playbook and positioning my body and eyes correctly. That’s my focus,” he added.
Shough, speaking with Katherine Terrell of ESPN, noted that Brees may attend the retreat for a short period. However, the event’s main goal is to help the current Saints roster quickly acclimate and build on Shough’s positive start to his rookie year.
