RIYADH: Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif met with security and military leaders early Tuesday, according to the Saudi Press Agency, as preparations for the day of Arafat ramped up.
More than 1.6 million pilgrims are attending this year’s Hajj, with many traveling to the plain of Arafat for the pilgrimage’s climax on Tuesday.
Saudi authorities are conducting a large-scale operation to ensure safety for all participants.
On Monday, movement into the tent city of Mina was carried out under a unified operational system. Authorities reported smooth flow along key routes, supported by traffic management plans and aerial monitoring to maintain orderly crowd movement.
