Hearts fan Greg Playfair: “If you cap away prices, home supporters will ask why that visitor is paying less than them. It’s a complicated issue.”
Hibernian fan Matty Fairnie: “Some clubs keep prices reasonable, but others treat fans purely as a revenue source. Gate receipts are vital for Scottish clubs, so clubs would essentially be undermining their own income.”
Kilmarnock fan Sandy Armour: “Everything else is getting more expensive. I’d suggest capping it at £20. Perhaps a group of non-city clubs could agree on a shared pricing framework.”
Rangers fan Jamie Currie: “As someone who attends both home and away matches, I find away pricing far too high for what’s on offer. It should be capped at £20, but it’s clubs’ biggest revenue stream, so it’s a difficult dilemma.”
St Johnstone fan Sam Miller: “It feels more expensive than it should be for the experience provided. Fans like me may not fully grasp the day-to-day running costs of a club. Greater transparency might help us better understand ticket pricing decisions.”
St Mirren fan Mark Jardine: “St Mirren relies heavily on gate income, so I see why prices rise. But there’s a tipping point where it drives supporters away. I tend to agree with the Twenty’s Plenty campaign, favouring a £25 cap.”
