Amanda Serrano will defend her WBA and WBO featherweight world titles against Argentina’s Lucrecia Manzur on August 21 at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California. The bout marks the first unified women’s world championship contested over 12 two-minute rounds and will be broadcast live on TikTok, a first for championship boxing.
Fresh off a second-round knockout of Cheyenne Hanson in May—her 32nd career stoppage—Serrano returns targeting the all-time women’s knockout record. The Puerto Rican star views the platform partnership as a pivotal moment for the sport’s visibility.
“I’ve dedicated my career to creating opportunities for women’s boxing and bringing our sport to the biggest stages possible, so to headline the first-ever championship boxing event on TikTok is incredibly meaningful,” Serrano said. “Women’s boxing deserves to be seen by as many people around the world as possible, and this partnership gives us the chance to introduce our sport to a massive global audience in a completely new way.”

Manzur, ranked No. 2 by the WBO, enters with a 14-4 record and seven knockouts. The Argentine contender has long sought a world-title opportunity.

The MVP-promoted card also features U.S. Olympian Jahmal Harvey against Hammet Keb in a six-round lightweight contest, plus Brazil’s Jully Poca versus Cinderella Linnear of the USA in a four-round super lightweight bout.
