Shakur Stevenson Reveals Four U.S.-Based Targets Amid Zuffa Contract

Shakur Stevenson has finalized a multi-year agreement with Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing, signaling a strategic shift in his career priorities.

The 29-year-old striker, fresh off a dominant unanimous decision victory over Teofimo Lopez in January to claim the WBO super-lightweight title, now focuses on high-profile matchups rather than pursuing undisputed status.

His immediate targets include two of boxing’s most celebrated figures: Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, a perennial fan favorite, and Devin Haney, the WBO welterweight champion known for his technical prowess.

Additionally, Stevenson has identified WBA super-lightweight champion Gary Antuanne Russell and Lamont Roach as key future opponents. All four names represent significant challenges, with each fighter expressing confidence in their ability to compete at a high level against Stevenson.

“[These fights] are all big contests; [they] represent opportunities where either party could dominate,” Stevenson stated. “I want these challenges—they’re the kind of fights that define careers.”

Russell, though less widely recognized, boasts an impressive 90% knockout rate and recent victories against Jose Valenzuela and Andy Hiraoka, reinforcing his status as a dangerous opponent. Roach, meanwhile, demonstrated resilience after drawing with Davis in March 2025 and securing a cleaner draw against Isaac Cruz later that year.
