Six Frontier Constabulary (FCN) officers were killed and four others wounded when terrorists attempted to seize a post in Peshawar’s Hassan Khel area on Monday, according to Dawn.
The sources reported that three FCN personnel were taken hostage by the terrorists.
Eight militants were killed during the security forces’ retaliatory fire, and the attack on the outpost was thwarted, sources said.
Security forces arrived at the scene and have sealed off the area.
The security operation against the militants is ongoing, officials said.
