At least six people have been rescued after a multi-story building collapsed in the Indian capital of Delhi, according to local police cited by news agency ANI.
It remains unclear how many individuals were inside the building at the time of the collapse, with rescue operations ongoing.
The building, situated in South-West Delhi, was being used as guest accommodation and consisted of a basement and five upper floors. Reports indicate that repair work was underway in the basement when the structure gave way.
“All agencies are working in coordination, with every effort focused on the safe rescue,” Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced in a post on X.
Delhi Police did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters’.
