A small aircraft has crashed near Space Coast Regional Airport in Titusville, Florida, officials reported.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has identified the aircraft as a Mooney M20F, a four‑seat propeller‑driven plane.
Video footage captures a fiery crash on a road that the Titusville Police Department confirmed has been closed in both directions.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured.
The crash occurred off the east coast, approximately 40 miles (64 km) east of Orlando, around 10:00 EST (15:00 BST), according to local police.
The Titusville Police Department said Florida Power & Light cut power to nearby areas as a precaution.
The crash occurred less than 24 hours after an Amazon cargo plane overshot the runway at Miami International Airport.
Five people were killed and five others seriously injured when a Boeing 767-300 overshot the runway, crossed a road beyond it, and collided with several vehicles.
