Azerbaijan is extending its energy reach into renewables, forging strategic partnerships and building infrastructure to connect regional and European markets.
Elmir Musayev, General Director of SOCAR Green, told Business Horizons that over 1.5 gigawatts of renewable capacity is under development, covering solar and wind installations, battery storage, and the Black Sea submarine cable.
Fagan Abdurahmanov, Deputy Director of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency, described how the Gobustan Solar Power Plant transforms solar radiation into electricity fed into the national grid.
