Annual Sales Surpass Expectations
On May 27, Reuters reported that French semiconductor materials provider Soitec posted annual sales above market expectations, even as customers continued to adjust inventories, underscoring its resilience in a deteriorating chip sector.
Revenue Figures and Analyst Estimates
Although revenue declined to 592 million euros ($688.5 million) from 891 million euros a year earlier, it exceeded the consensus analyst estimate of 584 million euros, according to a company‑provided survey.
CEO’s Statement on Q4 Performance
• “Our Q4 delivered sequential improvement over Q3, surpassing guidance, with sustained momentum in AI‑driven initiatives, particularly in photonics‑SOI — a cornerstone of our expansion into high‑growth markets,” said CEO Laurent Remont.
Quarterly Revenue and Future Projections
• Soitec’s quarterly revenue fell 38% to 202 million euros, yet topped analysts’ forecast of 193 million euros for the period.
• The company projects first‑quarter revenue to increase by roughly 15% year‑on‑year at constant currency and scope, building on 92 million euros reported in the prior year.
