WWE Main Event is entering a new chapter as the show transitions to Rumble through a newly announced partnership with Amazon Prime Video. The first episode premieres on Wednesday, October 14, featuring four matches that bring together talent from across RAW, SmackDown, and the wider WWE roster.
The updated lineup includes several competitors who have recently appeared in high-profile matches, delivering multiple opportunities for established stars to shine. Among those highlighted are Sol Ruca, Rey Fenix, and Austin Theory, each slated to play significant roles in the relaunched series.
Sol Ruca will face Lyra Valkyria in a women’s singles contest. Ruca recently competed successfully in the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, while Valkyria continues her narrative involvement with Bayley. Their confrontation provides both superstars a chance to build momentum heading into the main event era.
Rey Fenix will compete against Kit Wilson in another key bout. Fenix has established himself as AAA World Cruiserweight Champion and most recently challenged Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship on RAW. Wilson rounds out the card by seeking a definitive match against a contender who has recent success climbing the rankings.
Austin Theory will battle Dragon Lee in what promises to be an interesting clash. Theory, half of the World Tag Team Champions alongside Bron Breakker, aims to prove himself against Lee, who recently defeated Big Cass and provided crucial support to Rey Mysterio during live events.
The fourth segment features Nathan Frazer taking on Ricky Saints in singles action. Frazer leads the tag team Fraxiom alongside Axiom, adding another dimension to the evolving landscape of the roster.
Below is a visual highlight from the programming package:
WWE Main Event on Rumble features four matches
Sol Ruca will confront Lyra Valkyria in a women’s titles match. Ruca recently performed well in the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder competition, while Valkyria remains active in her storyline alliance with Bayley. Their bout presents both athletes a valuable narrative opportunity.
Rey Fenix will take the stage against Kit Wilson in another must-see contest. After earning the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship, Fenix recently challenged for the Intercontinental Title on Raw, while Wilson prepares to elevate his own standing against an opponent currently on a winning streak.
Austin Theory steps in to face Dragon Lee, positioning themselves for an immediate test of mettle. Theory, sharing the world’s top spot as World Tag Team Champions with Bron Breakker, looks to showcase dominance against Lee, who recently toppled Big Cass and contributed vital support to Rey Mysterio on Raw.
Completing the lineup, Nathan Frazer debuts against Ricky Saints in a singles exhibition. Known as the other half of Fraxiom alongside Axiom, Frazer seeks validation as he enters WWE’s main roster, countering Saints’ push to solidify his presence.
New episodes of WWE Main Event roll out weekly on Rumble, with the premiere set for Wednesday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time (or 5 p.m. Pacific). This marks a departure from the show’s former YouTube-only distribution model and traditional Thursday night slots.
Armed with four distinct matchups, the Rumble debut provides the supporting cast with prime real estate to impress. While the talents remain recognizable, this fresh venue signifies WWE’s commitment to propelling newer and deeper storylines on its core television program.
