PlayStation 5 owners in the United States can now stream more than 100 live channels, covering news, sports, movies, TV series and anime, drawn from providers such as Amazon MGM Studios, Crunchyroll, Fox, NBCUniversal, the NFL Channel and UFC, among others.

The channels operate as free, ad‑supported (FAST) services.

Below is a snapshot of the lineup, organized by genre:

  • TV Shows – A selection of popular series including Community, The Shield, Hell’s Kitchen, The Walking Dead, Forensic Files, Unsolved Mysteries, Deal or No Deal USA and Fear Factor, as well as Ice Road Truckers from A+E’s HISTORY.
  • Movies – A library of free films spanning action, horror, sci‑fi and more, featuring channels such as MovieSphere by Lionsgate, 50 Cent Action, FilmRise Free Movies, Sony One Horror Hits and Cinevault.
  • Anime – Anime hits such as Naruto, Sailor Moon, Hunter x Hunter, Death Note and more, plus exclusive Crunchyroll channels like Black Clover and curated box‑set collections.
  • Sports – Sports coverage from FOX Sports, NASCAR, NBC Sports Now, UFC and additional outlets, covering MMA, football, hockey, motorsports, golf, boxing and soccer.
  • News & Weather – A mix of national, regional and international news and weather reports, including NBC News Now, Fox Weather and LiveNOW from FOX.
  • Creator & Specialty Programming – A range of creator‑driven content, featuring Hot Ones, Spotify’s The Ringer, Futcrunch, Idle Mode, comedy, action sports, gaming, esports and other specialty programming.
  • Additional Programming – Further offerings that include gaming and esports, creator‑led entertainment, documentaries, podcasts and niche content, such as the exclusive eCLUTCH channel.

Sony has indicated that, while the FAST channels are currently limited to the United States, the company anticipates expanding the service to Canada and, subsequently, to additional markets.

The initiative appears aimed at leveraging Sony’s extensive user base to establish a rival to existing ad‑supported streaming platforms like those offered by Samsung, Android TV, Fire TV and Roku.

By integrating a FAST TV offering, Sony can keep users engaged with their PlayStation console when they prefer watching television, while also generating additional advertising revenue through the sale of certain channel ad slots.

It is worth noting that Sony’s own Bravia smart‑TV lineup runs on Google TV rather than a proprietary Sony platform.
