APAG’s listing introduces a leading Pakistani fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) company with a well‑established consumer brand to the stock market, marking the first such listing in over five years, with KTrade Securities acting as the key advisor in the IPO.
Agro Processors & Atmospheric Gases Limited (APAG), the parent of the popular “Soya Supreme” brand, is poised to list on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, representing the first brand to go public in more than five years. The IPO arrives as APAG restructures its operations to tap new growth avenues and reinforce its competitive stance.
A cornerstone of the transformation is APAG’s intensified emphasis on Soya Supreme, which now contributes roughly 75% of total revenue. In addition to its core domestic market, the company has been expanding its export channel, which accounted for about 7.3% of revenue last year. Its institutional tender segment has also become a significant driver, broadening the company’s demand base.
APAG’s growth roadmap hinges on expanding and optimizing its production capacity. The firm intends to increase capacity by roughly 30,000 tonnes via facility upgrades, plant optimization, and backward integration. Technology, cost efficiencies, and operational effectiveness are pivotal to this plan, leveraging modern equipment, SAP, and SCADA systems to enhance automation, real‑time monitoring, and production uniformity.
APAG is also gearing up for a full‑scale rollout of its sauces line. The company sees substantial untapped potential in this category, where net margins can reach 20‑25%. Its goal is to grow the segment to account for about 10% of total revenue within the next five years.
KTrade Securities is acting as the lead manager for the issue, playing a pivotal role in bringing APAG’s IPO to investors. The book‑building process closed at Rs. 33 per share, achieving a 1.84‑times oversubscription, which further solidifies KTrade’s expanding investment‑banking credentials.
APAG’s debut on the public market marks a strategic milestone as the company advances into its next expansion phase. The transaction also injects momentum into Pakistan’s equity market, with KTrade instrumental in linking APAG’s growth aspirations to the investor community.
