Sri Lanka Cricket has revealed the fixtures for Australia Women’s three-match ODI tour of Sri Lanka, set for December 2026. All three matches will take place at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium, with the first ODI on December 15. Australia are due to arrive on December 10, providing five days of preparation before the series begins — their first ODI assignment in Sri Lanka in over ten years.

The series offers Sri Lanka a chance to earn crucial points in the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-2029 cycle, which doubles as the qualifying route to the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, giving the three ODIs added significance beyond a standard bilateral contest.
Sri Lanka will lean on experienced campaigners such as Chamari Athapaththu as they face one of the top sides in women’s cricket. Home conditions could provide an edge as the hosts aim to build a strong performance across the three matches.
Australia enter series in strong ODI form
Australia arrive after a dominant 2026 ODI campaign, winning all six matches including 3-0 sweeps against India and in the Caribbean.
Led by Sophie Molineux, Australia will look to carry that momentum into Sri Lanka. The Aussies have also been unbeaten in white-ball cricket against the hosts, winning all 19 encounters since December 2000.
