The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Tuesday the signing of strong safety Brandon Hill, a former University of Pittsburgh standout.
Hill, 25, entered the NFL as a seventh-round selection by the Houston Texans in the 2023 draft. He has since spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders and, most recently, the Chicago Bears, who released him on August 11.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Apopka, Florida native redshirted at Pitt in 2019 before becoming a regular contributor in 2020. He started his final two seasons with the Panthers in 2021 and 2022, recording three interceptions and nine passes defended. His collegiate highlights include a pick-six against Florida State in 2020.
