A WWE Hall of Fame legend was present at the latest edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, held on July 18 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The familiar “WWE Then. Now. Forever. Together.” opening kicked off the show as usual.
Joe Tessitore welcomed viewers and introduced the standard pre-show arrivals, featuring Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Gunther.
Social posts from Roman Reigns and Jalen Brunson were also displayed to highlight the special appearances of “The OTC” and the 2026 NBA Finals MVP from the New York Knicks.
The broadcast then moved inside Madison Square Garden, where Tessitore officially opened the Countdown to Saturday Night’s Main Event. After panning the live crowd, the camera settled on the pre-show desk, where Tessitore was joined by special guest Stephanie McMahon.
McMahon discussed her “What’s Your Story?” podcast, including a recent episode recorded with Jalen Brunson, and described MSG as the “Mecca” of professional wrestling.
Stephanie McMahon was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year during WrestleMania Weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada.
