Strive Sought $500 Million Capital Through New Preferred Stock Offer to Expand Bitcoin Holdings
On Tuesday evening, Bitcoin treasury firm Strive unveiled a new perpetual preferred share—SATS—which offers a fixed quarterly dividend of 15%.
The offering permits the sale of five million shares at $100 each, raising roughly $500 million. Proceeds will fund the acquisition of additional Bitcoin, the purchase of income‑producing assets, or a stock buyback.
SATS sits junior to Strive’s existing perpetual preferred, SATA, which presently yields a variable dividend of about 13%, and it assumes a higher fixed rate of 15%.
Both tiers distribute dividends on a daily basis.
At the close of the issuance round, the company will earmark a dividend reserve equal to the first eighteen months of SATS’ dividend payments.
Unlike many broader Bitcoin treasury platforms—including larger competitors such as Strategy—Strive has recently been able to markedly grow its Bitcoin position.
In the most recent deal, the firm purchased 3,311 Bitcoin, bringing its total holdings to 32,773 coins, valued at approximately $2.7 billion. Only three months earlier the balance stood below 20,000 coins.
